A whirlwind of entertainment is in store.
A woman, man man in a cowboy hat, and a man with hands up

Sunday nights are made for blockbuster movies – and with M-Net channel 101, blockbuster just happens to be our middle name. Here's our May movie line-up. (PS: You may want to stock up on the popcorn.)

The Silent Hour
Joel Kinnaman and Mekhi Phifer go head-to-head in this riveting action thriller. A Boston cop (Kinnaman) must protect a young deaf murder witness (Sandra Mae Young) from shady gang leader Lynch (Phifer). Expect a thrilling cat-and-mouse game coupled with heart-pounding moments while you watch. Watch The Silent Hour on Sunday 4 May at 20:05.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy
Bridget Jones is back with more hilarious romantic encounters in the fourth film of the beloved franchise. Widow and single mum Bridget navigates motherhood and tries out the dating scene once again. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she's caught in a romance between a charming younger man and her son's teacher. In true Bridget Jones fashion, hilarious chaos is unleashed.

Fun fact: In the scene where Bridget is deciding what to wear for a date, she chooses a translucent top. Avid fans will have flashbacks of Bridget Jones’s Diary when Bridget wore the top to the office in hopes that Daniel would notice her.

A wonderful treat for Mother’s Day. We’re mad about the boy on Sunday 11 May at 20:05.

Gunner
Luke Hemsworth and Morgan Freeman ... need we say more? Colonel Lee Gunner (Hemsworth) must save his young sons when they’re kidnapped by a ruthless drug lord (Freeman). The clock is ticking and every second counts as Gunner risks his life to save his sons. Freeman is excellent at playing the bad guy ... is there any role he can’t nail? Watch the action unfold on Sunday 18 May at 20:05.

Twisters
You don’t want to miss this stand-alone sequel to the original Twister movie. No one is safe in the state of Oklahoma after a series of tornadoes breaks out, leaving the residents fighting for their lives. It’s up to meteorologists Kate (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and Tyler (Glen Powell) to investigate and keep everyone safe from this vicious storm.

Fun fact: In the original Twister movie, the team named a tornado-detecting device Dorothy, which is a nod to The Wizard of Oz. In Twisters they also have a device called Dorothy and the team uses code names such as Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion, all of which reference The Wizard of Oz

Brave the storm if you dare on Sunday 25 May at 20:05.
