A gladiator, a man with a gun, and a man cooking

Gladiators, heists, snipers, and a charming family comedy that will evoke all sorts of emotions. Here’s what’s in store this June on M-Net channel 101.

High Rollers
If you enjoyed Cash Out, then its sequel is a must-see. Travolta is back as the smooth-talking Mason Goddard. This time the stakes are higher than ever before! Goddard must pull off a deadly casino heist, but there’s just one big problem: his nemesis has kidnapped his girlfriend ... dum dum dum. Expect risky moves, high-stakes negotiations, explosive action, and that Travolta smirk and charm we’ve come to know and love. Watch High Rollers on Sunday 1 June at 20:05.

Gladiator II
It's been 25 years since Russell Crowe graced the screens as Maximus Decimus Meridius in Gladiator. The long-awaited sequel is finally here and has an all-star cast including Pedro Pascal, Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, and Joseph Quinn. Sixteen years after the death of  Marcus Aurelius, Lucius Verus (Mescal) must take on new rivals and return the glory of Rome to its people and honour the legacy of Roman general turned gladiator Maximus Decimus Meridius. The cinematography is epic. Janty Yates, the costume designer from the first movie, tailored the costumes once again and whisks you back to the Roman era. The battle is on in Gladiator II on Sunday 8 June at 20:05.

Fun fact: Russell Crowe’s character, Maximus Decimus Meridius, is seen in flashbacks from the first film.

Absolution
The king of action is back at it again. The legendary Liam Neeson drives this action thriller as an ex-gangster who sets out to redeem his past and make amends with his children. However, the dark criminal world is ruthless and has a firm grip on him, and he becomes tangled up in yet another dangerous situation, putting his family at risk. For twists, turns, and Neeson's particular set of skills, tune into Absolution on Sunday 15 June at 20:05.

Goodrich
Micheal Keaton brings charm, character, and laughs to this heatwarming comedy drama. Andy Goodrich (Keaton), a 60-something art dealer, must suddenly face fatherhood all over again after his young twins are left in his care when their mother goes to rehab. This results in some hilarious consequences. He soon seeks advice from his adult daughter (played by Mila Kunis) and questions his former years as a father, learning many lessons along the way. Grab the tissues for the tears as you unpack the emotions on Sunday 22 June at 20:05.

Take Cover
Scott Adkins and Alice Eve drive this adrenaline-packed thriller. The clock is ticking as professional sniper Sam (Adkins) finds himself trapped in a glass penthouse by a malicious rival who intends to assassinate him. That's right, he's an easy target in a glass cage! With nowhere to run and nowhere to hide, Sam needs to think smart and fight to stay alive. You better Take Cover on Sunday 29 June at 20:05.
