Reconnecting nature with Rhian Berning
Eden to Addo is an initiative to restore biodiversity and combat climate change by protecting over 55 000 hectares of land and creating interconnected corridors across South Africa's Garden Route. By addressing habitat fragmentation – one of the leading causes of biodiversity loss – Eden to Addo works to protect and restore natural ecosystems, enabling wildlife to thrive along ancient migratory pathways.
Focused on key areas like the Robberg Coastal Corridor, Keurbooms Corridor, Langkloof Corridor, and Springbokvlakte Corridor, the project supports farmers and landowners as biodiversity stewards, facilitating the declaration and management of protected areas.
Join us as we speak to Eden to Addo CEO Rhian Berning, an environmental scientist and educator with over 20 years of experience.
