Acclaimed filmmaker Sam Mendes, the Academy Award®-winning director behind American Beauty and Skyfall, focuses his lens on the Great War in 1917, which follows two young British soldiers, Lance Corporal Schofield and Lance Corporal Blake, on a dangerous mission in enemy territory at the height of the conflict. Featuring cinematography from Academy Award® winner Roger Deakins, the World War I epic is directed by Mendes from a screenplay he co-wrote with Krysty Wilson-Cairns.
