Anthology series have made a comeback and are on the rise. One of the most successful creations we've seen is undoubtedly American Horror Story, impressing critics and viewers alike.
Shifted settings, new characters, and an even more chilling atmosphere every season, ensures that the show does not disappoint.
One of the constants in the show is the actors. While every season brings new stories and characters, we often see familiar faces. Many actors stick with a show for as long as ten seasons, and do it playing the same character for as many years, if not longer. American Horror Story gives the regular actors the chance to try something new every single time.
Across four seasons of American Horror Story we have seen many regulars making leaps and bounds as they shift time, place and personality. The fifth season, subtitled Hotel, sees regulars return for a fresh challenge.
That doesn't mean we won't see any new talent stepping into the canon. The most talked about American Horror Story debut is Lady Gaga. Even though she is renowned as a multi-award winning pop star, her roots are in musical theatre, and it will be interesting to see her talents put to different use.Â
British model Naomi Campbell will also make an appearance. Despite a dubious film career, Campbell's television work of late seems to be turning things around.Â
