We’re heading back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the latest M-Net Movies Night Out. The next MCU movie, Captain Marvel, lands tomorrow (8 March) but we’re getting a sneak preview tonight. Whether you’re joining us or watching this weekend, here are a few things you need to know (in case you don’t already) before the adventures of Carol Danvers start.
- It’s the 21st movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- Captain Marvel is played by Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson.
- Joining her are Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn , Jude Law, Annette Bening, and Djimon Hounsou. Â
- It’s set in the 1990s.
- Since it’s set in the past, it means we’ll get to see Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson back in action.
- Behind the camera, you’ll find directing duo Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck who also directed Half Nelson and Sugar together.
- It’s the MCU’s first female-led superhero movie. But we’re still waiting in anticipation for the Black Widow solo outing.
- Larson is set to reprise her role in April’s Avengers: Endgame.
